You Are Worth It!

This country has about 100 Million full time employees and of those, 51% aren’t engaged or don’t enjoy their job! You heard me right, more than half of full time American workers don’t enjoy the work they do. This is according to a Gallup study on the American Workplace. On one hand this statistic blows my mind. Why are so many people waisting their time and energy doing something they don’t enjoy?! On the other hand I totally get the practicality of having a job and needing the income to support yourself and or family and have health insurance etc. I do believe that following your passion and trying to turn that passion into a full time job is truly a privilege. Its not something that everyone can afford to do.

What I am more interested in is of that 51% how many of those individuals could actually change jobs or follow that passion? How many people are letting fear, or the statues quo or whatever it is hold them back from making a change in their work life?

I have spoken to several women recently about fear and how it holds them back from going after things, work or otherwise. The age old question “What would you do if you knew you wouldn’t fail?” If you are reading this I challenge you to think about what you would do. Once you have figured out your answer to that question I challenge you to START taking steps to get you there! Even if you have a full time job and you just spend some time on the weekends. I promise it will feed you in a way that nothing else can. Its worth taking the time and investing in YOURSELF! Its always worth it, you are always worth it!
